Cancellation Policy

Emerald Triangle Revealed Tour cancellation policy.

Due to the very limited space available on this tour, and the large upfront costs we incur in arranging for your visit, we must adhere to our strict cancellation policy as follows:

CANCELLATION FEE SCHEDULE*

  • Minimum deposit to hold your spot is $500 per person
  • If you cancel more than 61 days before the tour begins, you will receive your deposit back minus $250 cancellation fee. (61 days before the tour is June 22nd, 2024)
  • Remainder of Tour price is due 60 days prior to departure. (June 23rd, 2024)
  • If you cancel 60 to 46 days before departure you will forfeit 50% of the tour price (June 9th, 2024)
  • 45-0 days prior to departure is 100% of the tour price (June 10th, 2024)

In the rare event that Sol Spirit Retreats must cancel a tour, all trip members will be notified a minimum of 60 days before the trip departs and will receive a full refund of payments made to Sol Spirit Retreats. Sol Spirit Retreats reserves the right to cancel any tour for any reason, including insufficient tour enrollment. Sol Spirit Retreats is not responsible for expenses incurred by guests in preparing for a canceled tour, including, but not limited to, nonrefundable airline tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc. We encourage you to contact our office prior to purchasing your airline tickets to check the status of your tour.

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE

We strongly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance. Travel insurance information is enclosed with your trip planning materials, or a policy can be purchased through our office or your travel agent. This can help prevent needless loss in case of serious illness, accident, or death of the traveler, traveler’s immediate family, or traveling companion.

WHAT YOUR TRIP INCLUDES

The land cost for a typical trip includes the following:

  • Expert leadership
  • Accommodations during your tour
  • All or most meals
  • All activities as noted in the itinerary and the necessary equipment for such activities
  • Ground transportation and support vehicles
  • Luggage transport
  • Entrance fees and permits

Each trip varies slightly, so speak with our travel experts or ask for a detailed itinerary that includes the specifics. Travel to and from tour meeting/departure points, pre- and post-tour accommodations and meals, optional activities, optional gratuities for your guide(s), and personal items are not included.

CUSTOM TOUR DEPARTURES

CUSTOM TOUR RESERVATIONS

Plan ahead! While we often organize amazing private trips for our clients with as little as 4-6 weeks notice, we recommend contacting Sol Spirit Retreats at least 12 months ahead to assure the best availability for your dates. CUSTOM TOUR PAYMENT SCHEDULE*

Initial group deposit: $500 USD to proceed with confirming your Custom Tour dates.

Within two weeks of confirmation: $500 USD per person, plus internal airfare (if applicable).

120 days prior to Custom Tour departure: Balance due.

All payments may be made by check or credit card through paypal. Prices are in US dollars, and all payments must be made in US dollars. Once a trip is confirmed with all deposits paid, the pricing structure is guaranteed with the following exceptions: unforeseen increases in government taxes, fees, and levies beyond the control of Sol Spirit Retreats.

CUSTOM TOUR SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS

Accommodations (hotels, tents, etc.) are based on double occupancy. A single supplement is paid by participants who require single accommodations. Custom Tour prices are generally based on two or more participants; therefore, single supplements for “solo” Custom Tours will vary and are available upon request.

CUSTOM TOUR CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

If you need to cancel your Custom Tour, you should call Boundless Journeys or your travel agent immediately, and then send notification in writing by email, fax, or mail. Certain fees will apply, calculated as of the date Sol Spirit Retreats receives written notice of cancellation.

CUSTOM TOUR CANCELLATION FEE SCHEDULE*

>120 days before departure: Deposit is non-refundable

120 to 91 days before departure: 25% of payments are non-refundable

90 to 61 days before departure: 50% of payments are non-refundable

60-0 days prior to departure: 100% of payments are non-refundable

*Cancellation and transfer schedules for custom trips, and certain special events may be more strict. These exceptions are clearly indicated in the detailed itineraries for each of these trips.
