Terms and Conditions

  • Cancellation Policy

    • A deposit equal to 50% of your reservation is due at the time of booking. Guests may cancel 14 days or more before arrival to receive a full refund of their deposit minus a $50 administrative fee.
    • Cancellations made less than 14 days but more than three days prior to arrival are eligible for date changes, if available. A change fee of $25 per reservation and rate difference, if applicable, will be due at the time of re-booking. Should the new fare be lower than that of the original reservation, the difference will not be refunded.
    • Deposits for any reservations canceled less than 14 days prior to arrival date are non-refundable. Early departures or no-shows are chargeable at the full amount of the reservation. 
    • The remainder of your reservation is due 14 days prior to your arrival.  You will receive an email with a link to pay the balance of your reservation.  If your stay is less than 14 days from the time of booking, we will collect the full payment at the time of booking.
    • You will be asked to store a card before your check-in date for a security deposit authorization. Please refer to the Security Deposit section of our Terms and Conditions.
    • If you do not pay the full balance 14 days before your check-in date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
    • We suggest that you take out suitable travel insurance in the event that you need to cancel your stay. 
    • If you need to cancel within 14 days of check-in, you can try to sell your holiday to friends or family, and we will update the guest information as long as the new guests agree to abide by these terms and conditions. 
    • In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your stay, we will notify you and discuss the alternative arrangements.
  • Booking Policy Summary

    • By signing a reservation agreement, the signer acknowledges that they are over 21 years old and assumes responsibility for all guests included in their reservation. It is the responsibility of the signer below to ensure all guests included in their reservation are aware of and agree to abide by all Camp Policies.
    • All guests must be aged 21 or above. No children are allowed on site.
    • There is a strict no pets policy, either staying in or visiting the tent.
    • There is a maximum of 2 adults per tent. No additional visitors.
    • Check-in is 3pm onwards. You will not be able to access your glamping tent before 3pm due to our housekeeping policy.
    • Check-out is 11am. 
    • All bed linens and towels are included.
    • This is a small site, so please respect your neighbors.
    • Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. At all times, guests are required to act in a manner that preserves the quiet enjoyment of the Camp for all guests.
    • Smoking: Due to severe fire danger in the summers in Northern California, we limit smoking to certain areas and do not permit smoking inside the tents.

    If you are found to be in breach of these conditions during your stay, we reserve the right to ask you and your party to leave, with no refunds given.

  • Coronavirus COVID-19

    • If you test positive for Covid, we cannot offer a refund. We recommend you take out suitable travel insurance to cover if you are unable to travel due to illness.
  • No Shows

    • If you do not check in on your travel dates, we will not provide a refund.
  • Security Deposit

    • Before your stay, you will be asked to store a card with our booking system which will be used as a security deposit pre-authorization. This authorization of $200 will be held on your stored card and only used if you fail to comply with our Terms and Conditions. 
    • We aim to be as fair as possible and rarely charge guests any or all of their security deposit.
    • The $200 pre-authorization will be held from your check-in day and released within 24 hours of check-out. It may take the bank a few days to remove the pre-authorization.
    • Failure to store a card for the security deposit pre-authorization will result in us canceling your booking and you will not be issued with a refund.

  • Damage

    If you or any of your party cause damage to the tent or the facilities, or the site in any way, we reserve the right to collect payment from you to cover the cost of the damage.

    Damage can include but is not limited to…

    • Water damage 
    • Misuse of property and items
    • Burns including cigarette burns and smoke damage

    Please report any damages to us before you check-out. Breakages and damage must be paid for.

  • Travel Insurance

    • We highly recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance for your stay with us. This will cover you in case you can no longer stay with us, as well as the cost of any damage you cause during your stay.
  • Vehicles and Parking

    The road to Sol Spirit Retreats is part of the adventure, but it may not be for everyone.

    • The last 6.5 miles (around 15-20 mins) of your trip will be on a scenic and beautiful paved county road. This road is very windy, and is clearly marked and is suitable for most vehicles. Four-wheel drive is not necessary.
    • You can expect there to be some potholes and rocks on the road and depending on the weather, potential areas with shallow water.
    • After your trip to Sol Spirit Retreats, your car will likely be dusty (or muddy if it has rained). There is one designated parking spot per tent located about 50 yards from the tent sites.
    • Assistance is available to bring your luggage to your tent.
    • Additional parking may be available upon request.
  • Campfires

    • Campfires are only allowed in the designated fire pits. If Forest Service fire restrictions are in place, campfires may be unavailable.
    • All other fires, including fireworks, are prohibited.
  • Pets

    • We have a strict no pets policy. This is a working farm and there are many farm animals that live here already, and wildlife that can endanger or be endangered by your pet.
    • If you are traveling with your pet, we can arrange for boarding at a local center during your stay.
  • Group Bookings

    The whole site may be hired out by family or friend groups for special get-togethers.

  • Gift Certificates

    • You can purchase Gift Certificates for stays at Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats in $50 and $100 amounts up to $1000. Please visit the Gift Certificates page (link) to view our options.
    • Once you have bought a gift certificate, we will create a PDF voucher within 24 hours and email it to the email address used when purchasing the certificate.
    • Each certificate will include a unique order number and you can customize the To/From/Special Message.
    • To book a stay at Sol Spirit Retreats using a Gift Certificate, please look at the availability in the calendar and then enter the certificate number in the “coupon code” field.
    • Once gift vouchers have been purchased, we do not offer refunds except in exceptional circumstances.

  • Right to Refuse Service

    Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats is privately owned and operated and reserves the right to refuse to admit, refuse service or accommodation or remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by applicable State and Federal Laws or these Camp Policies.

  • Waiver

    In making a reservation with Sol Spirit Retreats, you acknowledge that you have read the following Guest Waiver and are aware that you are required to sign it upon or prior to check in.


    Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats, strives to take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of its guests. In consideration for Sol Spirit Retreats services, I, on behalf of myself), and my heirs and/or representatives, voluntarily enter into this ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT (“Agreement”). I hereby covenant not to sue and voluntarily agree to waive, release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sol Spirit Farm and Sol Spirit Retreats and its officers, directors, agents, employees, owners, affiliates, volunteers, contractors, representatives, and property partners (Collectively, “Releasees”) from any and all liability, causes of action, or claims for any injuries (including serious injuries and death) or damages as a result of my participation in any Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Activity (which specifically includes activities put on by Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats and/or any activity that is run through a third party, including Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats’ property partners), whether caused by the ordinary negligence of Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats or the Releasees. I understand that this Agreement does not waive any claims resulting from gross negligence, willful, reckless or wanton misconduct by Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats. I also understand that Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats is not responsible for the acts of third parties under this Agreement.

    1. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury, including serious injuries or death, that may be sustained by me, as a result of my stay at Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats or participation in any Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Activity, whether caused by negligence of Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats or otherwise. I have voluntarily elected to enter Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats’s premises and engage in Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats’s activities, including, but in no way limited to bicycling, yoga, horseback riding and lawn games, knowing that conditions may be hazardous, or may become hazardous to me and/or my property, and that access to medical personnel and/or facilities may be limited. Certain inherent risks involved in outdoor activities offered by Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats, include but are not limited to: inclement weather-related hazards, including extreme temperatures, wind, fire, ice, tornadoes; rugged terrain or bodies of water; wild animals and livestock; and, insects and poisonous plants. I also understand and acknowledge that additional unknown or unanticipated risks do exist that may result in injury or death. I understand that these risks are increased by the use of drugs or alcohol.
    2. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with my physician prior to participating in any Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Activity. In the event that I become incapacitated while participating in a Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Activity, I hereby authorize Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats, and emergency medical personnel to make emergency medical decisions on my behalf (including but not limited to CPR and/or and AED).  I also authorize Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats to arrange emergency and non-emergency transportation, including transportation on any Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats owned vehicle, including but not limited to boats and other watercraft. I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats from any and all costs associated with my emergency care and transportation.
    3. My participation in any Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Activity signifies that I have found the Equipment (which includes any equipment available or accessible on the property or any personal equipment I bring with me) and areas to be safe and acceptable to me.  I accept full and sole responsibility for the condition and adequacy of my personal Equipment.
    4. I assume all risk of driving to Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats and Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats is not liable for any damage to vehicles owned or rented by me.
    5. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. I agree to submit any and all claims arising from my stay and/or participation in Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Activities to binding Arbitration in Trinity County. I acknowledge that I am giving up the right to have my dispute decided in a court of law by a judge or jury.  I further understand and agree that Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats will be entitled to recover attorneys’ fees and costs incurred defending against an action barred by this Agreement.
    6. We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. The amount charged to the guest will be the following:
      • $250 for minor to moderate damage, as determined by Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Retreats in its sole discretion
      • $500 for major damage, as determined by Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Retreats in its sole discretion, plus additional costs/losses, if any, incurred by Sol Spirit Farm & Retreats Retreats in the course of repairing the damage including, but in no way limited to the actual cost of materials or outside contractors, and the revenue lost should it be necessary to take a tent or other facility off line to effectuate the repair.
      • Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.
    7. This Agreement is the entire agreement between the parties, and shall supersede any and all prior agreements. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be illegal or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
